Maher has spent over 20 years working with and for marginalized communities both locally and globally. Born in war torn Beirut Lebanon, he’s had quite a journey as an immigrant and refugee that’s beautifully shaped the way he perceives the world today.
He spent almost a decade on the streets of North Philly working together with leaders and organizations that were truly passionate about addressing systemic poverty in their neighborhoods. As a result, a stronger community came together to improve the quality of life through education and community development projects.
As an Outreach pastor at Mariners Church in Orange County, CA he built a department that stood for efficiency and systematic impact. You normally hear him throwing out the phrase, “Why add, when you can multiply?” Having worked in collaboration with dozens of organizations locally and around the world, his passion is to see leaders and organizations thrive strategically to serve those on the margins with the utmost dignity and excellence.
At the beginning of 2020, he moved back to Philadelphia with his wife Jen and 3 kids (Aliya, Isaiah, Kaden) to help transition his father into retirement from the family car dealership business.
Having received his DEI certification through the National EIDA Center, Maher also has a Master Technician degree from BMW and is currently working on a Masters of Religion degree at Cairn University.
