Adam Bailon has spent his career working closely with individuals and organizations to build the capacity to undertake the deep and lasting change required to impact systems. He thrives and is most effective when coaching organizational leaders 1-on-1 and when constructing learning journeys for organizations to equip them to be inclusive teams and when furthering that work by coaching and collaborating with teams and team leads.
Adam is also an expert in race, gender, and religious diversity. He has decades of experience working in various communities, implementing transformative IDEA learning curriculum, and guiding leaders through the complexities of creating change.
Throughout the last decade, Adam has specialized in using leadership assessment tools to support leaders moving through the challenges of integrating IDEA-focused strategies. He has mastered these tools to create an incredibly impactful framework for developing the individual leadership capability to engage difference, understand transformation, and recognize and overcome personal barriers to equitable and inclusive outcomes.
As a White presenting Chicano person, Adam’s work is deeply shaped by his own journey of identity development, experiences of privilege and inequity, and the straddling of cultures.
Adam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish (a part of reclaiming his Chicano heritage) from a California-based liberal arts college, and a Master of Arts in Contextual Leadership and Community Engagement, specializing in the application of inclusive and culturally responsive practices in diverse urban areas and cultural centers. This degree emphasized the development of skills to effectively communicate and engage with various cultural contexts, fostering an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The program focused on understanding and addressing the unique needs of non-dominant cultural groups, equipping graduates with the tools to lead and collaborate in multicultural settings.
Adam is a certified Practitioner of the leadership development tools that he uses and holds certifications in Embodied Social Justice and in IDEA & Organizational Change.
